The last few months of winter are always pretty brutal. At first, cold weather is exciting because it mean cute coats, warm scarves and comfy boots. But by February, the allure of winter clothing starts to fade and I find myself unwilling to wear anything other than my pajamas. Comfort is definitely the most important requirement for my winter wardrobe, but it doesn't mean sacrificing style.
For this look, I wanted to revamp the tradition long sleeve t-shirt/ leggings combo. I paired a Free People trapeze top with a simple long sleeve t-shirt and knit leggings. The acid-wash effect of the top makes me feel like I've stepped back into the 80s, and the asymmetrical hemline adds a fun twist. I kept the accessories minimal because, let's be honest, accessorizing is a lot of work. For a pop of color (and extra warmth), I added a berry-colored beanie. My favorite Dr. Martens complete this grunge-inspired outfit.
